When Atika decided to tend to her children as a stay-at-home mother, she also dedicated herself to supporting her husband as he pursued his dreams as an entrepreneur. Ultimately, his business aspirations fell through and they decided together to redirect this entrepreneurial spirit into Atika’s craft. Gathering less fortunate women from across the area, Atika wanted to create a safe space where these women felt comfortable enough to be themselves and embrace the challenges in learning a new skill to support themselves. Her focus is on designing modern pieces with a Moroccan flair and she dares her workers to do the same.
