Handcrafting is at the heart of Moroccan tradition. Our women artisan partners use traditional techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. At ASILA, we value the quality of their handmade crafts and their attention to detail. We are committed to the fusion of fashion and cultural heritage - to integrating the artisanal techniques of weaving, sewing, threading, stitching and embroidering into high-end products of quality, making for unique and authentic designs.

All women have ambition. Here at ASILA we highlight the ambitions our artisans hold close to their hearts. Every year, we select 8-12 bright, grassroots women artisans and entrepreneurs that hold unique ambitions. We then accompany each woman to voice, plan, fund and live her ambition.

Providing a woman with income alone is not enough for economic independence. Above all else, we seek to provide our women with self-confidence, access, and leadership. Through the ASILA empowerment caravan and capacity-building programs, our women acquire the necessary tools, skills, and resources to scale their enterprises, increase their long-term income streams, and lead high-impact community projects. Through these programs, women refine their administrative, technological and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to lead sustainable businesses and taken on more leadership roles in their communities.
